When one chapter closes…
another opens.
it’s been interesting…
feelings of “Oh, oh well!”
then…. feelings of “OMG!!!”
reminiscing about the birth of my babies in the house…
reminiscing about my art room!
seeing the “For Sale” sign in the front yard,
driving by and wanting to go in, but then … changing my mind…
the feelings in my heart over selling my home are mixed
I’m closing one chapter and beginning something new.
It’s sad, it’s scary, it’s exciting. The feelings are just so mixed, so – all over the place – I can’t even think of what word to use, except, “mixed.”
The open house was a couple of weekends ago and there was a lot of activity and last week we met with our realtor and signed on an offer.
Amazingly it’s an 18 day close and I still have lots of things to get out of the house.
When one door closes
another opens…
When one door closes
another opens….
it’s a good thing, right?
So you are probably wondering what’s beginning, or maybe you’ve been following along with my sporadic blog post and already know what i’ve been working on.
Well, my good friend John is giving me space in his store for my diy craft things and my painted furniture projects. I’ll also be selling Sweet Pickins Milk Paint. So, in preparation for the opening of my new space, I have been a painting/crafting diva crafting lots of things and painting furniture.
Drumroll please…
here’s a few shot of the inside.
I just returned from the store spending three hours decorating. This is a space where I can let everything go and just be in the moment of my creativeness. A space where I can allow myself to be whatever I want. A space where I can show off what I’ve created and hope that others will join me and create with me.
I’m very excited about this new chapter although my feelings are mixed.
I’m trying to push away the feelings of fear of not being successful in my new business” “Create With Cynthia, painted furniture and diy crafts.”
I’m trying to trudge forward with my “to-do list.” The Committee keeps entering my head and I’m just ignoring it!
I’m reading ‘Braving the Wilderness” to keep me on track.
My upcoming calendar is full. I’m going to South Carolina in July for “Haven, A Design and Blogging Conference, Because There’s No Place Like Home.”
And then on July 28th and 29th I will be at “Treasurefest, on the famous Treasure Island in the middle of the San Francisco Bay Area.” You can come and “Create With Me” or view and purchase my painted furniture and D-I-Y crafts.
I hope you’ll stop by to see my space at “It’s is Vapor” in Redwood City, California and join me in some workshops in July. The store address is 615 Woodside Road, Suite 3 and there is plenty of parking and John or Joswe are such a sweet bunch to chat with. Jose’s is also an artist and showing off his art and John owns “It is Vapor,” A vapor store for an upscale clientele not one of those head shops! Don’t be shy, stop by and if you let me know when I will try and meet you there.
xoxo
