Hi there, Sweet Friends, I’m Cynthia Nessel, the founder and editor of Create with Cynthia. While you are looking around, my hope is that you will be inspired to create with me. I started this website to show off my favorite vintage furniture makeovers and diy home decor projects. I love sharing tips and step-by-step tutorials for the Vintage Enthusiasts, as well as, information about my Little Family of Five.
Finding junk on the side of the road and repurposing it into useful decor is what I love to do. Creating seasonal home decor keeps me busy when there is no junk to be found!
This space is an expression of who I am and what I love to do. ❤
I write about my favorite things and make videos about my favorite projects using products which I believe to be top notch. All in hopes that I can inspire you to Create With Me!
My dream is to continue to partner with Brands to showcase their products on the blog and in my videos.
In my Store Space online at CreateWithCynthiaShop.com I sell my handmade creations and vintage furniture restoration projects. I’ve carefully chosen to retail my favorite products which include:
Sweet Pickins a company that carries Milk Paint and Finishing Products to create a chipping and rustic look.
And I’m an ambassador for Essential Stencil, the maker of gorgeous farmhouse stencils.
As a host for A Makers’ Studio, I teach passionate makers how to create gorgeous vintage decor projects.
If you’re in the San Francisco Bay Area, you can join me for one of my live crafting workshops in Redwood City, California. Whether you’re looking to master a hobby, improve your skills, or simply get inspired, I’m here to help!
Creating this website and online store has been a big dream of mine. You can watch my Video on the store here:
Although I started this crazy website of mine in April of 2015, with the assistance of Chantilly Patino my website was redesigned in July of 2018. I can’t take credit for all of its beauty.
After spending over 20 years in the Corporate World as an Human Resources Recruiter for companies like Kaiser Permanente, Stanford Health Care and University of California, San Francisco, I finally escaped Cubicle Nation to work on my Website and You Tube Channel Full Time.
Walt Disney said it right when he said, “All Our Dreams Can Come True, If We Have The Courage To Pursue Them.”
Together, with my two boys (Luke and Troy) and our adorable pups (a Havanese named Oreo and a King Charles Cavalier named Sofy), I continue to work on this new chapter of my life. What would life be like without those that you love? These four get me out of bed each morning and provide exactly what I need to gain a sense of happiness and fulfillment.
Through my creative endeavors, my hope is that you’ll be inspired to create with me, whatever that may be.
