Looking for ideas on how to create a St. Patrick’s Day Tablescape? Dollar Store items can transform any table setting. St. Patrick’s Day Tablescape for Spring!

St. Patrick’s Day reminds me of Spring, Sweet Friends, but did you know Spring starts on March 20th? St. Patrick’s Day is March 17th. Will you be celebrating this Irish holiday? For the Spring Tablescape Blog Hop I decided on celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. It’s almost Spring, right?

Spring Tablescape Blog Hop!

Once again, I am honored to be hopping with these amazing Bloggers. This year the Tablescape Blog Hop is one day. I hope we have given you some wonderful ideas. The links are at the bottom of this post.

If you are stopping by after visiting Liz at Home and Gardening with Liz, Welcome!

I know it’s a Spring Tablescape, but once February is over I’m thinking about St. Patrick’s Day.

As I was preparing for the Spring Tablescape Blog Hop, I had other visions for my table. Visions of flowers and bunnies and carrots, but then as I was strolling through the Dollar Tree last week, my mind did a total flip flop.

St. Patrick’s Day Tablescape!

I saw all of these fun St. Patrick’s Day items and I decided to set my table pretty for a nice St. Patrick’s Day Dinner for the boys and I. I only spent $10 on all the items and I think my table came out “cute as a button!”

I’m not really a huge drinker or a huge corned beef and cabbage type of gal and so St. Patrick’s Day isn’t really one of those holidays I usually spend too much time thinking about. But the Dollar Tree visit set me onto a different path.

It kind of started with the hat and bowtie. I thought it would be fun to have a flower arrangement in the hat. Stay tuned on Thursday I’ll show you exactly how I created this St. Patrick’s Day Floral Centerpiece.

For this tablescape, I used my regular white charges, white dishes and glassware that we eat with everyday. It was nothing fancy. The clovers are green and the coins are gold and I decided on gold silverware to add some extra pop.

I stuck the plastic, yes plastic silverware, into the glasses as there was not much room for it on the place setting. This is a casual meal hence the plastic silverware and mason jar glasses.

I laid Dollar Store scarves down the center of the table to act as a table runner. It was a fun project and I hope you enjoy seeing it.

A tip of the leprechaun’s hat to you Cynthia for styling such a darling, fun and affordable St. Paddy’s Day table! Because of both hubby and my Irish ancestry, I set both a casual table in the kitchen, and a more dressy one in the dining room. And, like you, my favorite centerpiece uses a leprechaun’s hat! But, I never thought of hiding a vase within the hat to include fresh flowers! We are heading to Ireland this summer and your table has me longing to get there!

Cynthia, that’s a very clever use of DT elements in creating your St. Patty’s Day tablescape! What better way to celebrate Spring than with the wearin’ of the green? One of the best tools in a table stylist’s toolbox is having a set of white dishes from which to start a table, am I right? Your layering gives great impact for this cheerful table of green, white and gold!

Cynthia, I became amazed with your St. Pat’s Day tablescape. Your floral=derby hat centerpiece is so clever and unique and quite stunning. It really brings a pop of bright color from the striking green. The scarves are another lovely touch and adds more color and pattern and is definitely a good idea when buying a new tablecloth is not possible. The details like the clover, coins and clover cut-out placemats really create a fun and beautiful table. Happy Spring.
