Yesterday, I slept in, the boys slept in, and the pups slept in, and when we all finally rolled out of bed, my heart was full of gratefulness.
Yesterday, we celebrated Veteran’s Day! Today, Sweet Friends is a story about gratefulness and thankfullness and feeling blessed…

Thankful for the Veteran’s Day Holiday!
I knew it was Veteran’s Day and I was thankful for the holiday.

I knew it was a day to relax, a day to be with my boys, and a day for an extra long pup walk.
I was grateful.
Then, a funny thing happened.
I went to get in the shower and as the water was warming up, I ran into the kitchen to grab a cup of coffee. As I walked back into the bathroom, a little someone was coming out of the shower. Sofy herself, stepped in and got all wet. Silly pup!

Grateful for my pups for making me giggle…..
Thankful to Troy for drying Sofy off so I could have my shower.

As I was showering, thoughts of Veteran’s Day came to my mind. All those men and women that continue to risk their lives for our country…..feeling grateful.
Blessed that I could be home with the boys on this holiday, when school was closed.

Yes, I know, grateful that school was closed………
It sounds a little silly, but really I was grateful I didn’t have to get out of bed early and take the boys to school and I could take the pups on an extra long walk.
After my shower the pups and I went on that extra long walk and we pick up pinecones.
Thankful for being able to pick up pinecones and bring them home.

Note aside…there is a DIY project coming soon.
and grateful we could all just lounge around all day.

What did you do on your Veteran’s Day???
Veteran’s Day Fact!
Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans. Do you know the difference between Veteran’s Day and Memorial Day? I know one is in November and one is in May. But, there is another difference….
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, Veterans Day (originally known as Armistice Day) is a federal holiday in the United States observed annually on November 11, for honoring military veterans, that is, persons who have served in the United States Armed Forces (and were discharged under conditions other than dishonorable).
Veterans Day is distinct from Memorial Day, a U.S. public holiday in May. Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Day honors those who have died while in military service.
Grateful and thankful and feeling blessed that I am alive and for those who protect our country everyday.
What are you grateful for? I’d love to hear. Leave me a comment and let me know.

Now go out there and create something.
Cynthia
