<p><strong><em>Did You Know You Can Keep Up Some Of Your Christmas Decor By Just “Transitioning” To Winter? </em></strong></p>

<p>I love decorating for the seasons, Sweet Friends. Leaving Christmas behind left me dismal, as I still had multiple projects I wanted to work on and family and friends to celebrate with. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Transition-from-Christmas-9-768x1024.jpg" alt="transition from christmas to winter, christmas, winter decor, diy home decor, vintage furniture makeover, create with cynthia, cynthia nessel" class="wp-image-5108" srcset="https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Transition-from-Christmas-9-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Transition-from-Christmas-9-225x300.jpg 225w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Transition-from-Christmas-9-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Transition-from-Christmas-9.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><em>Transitioning my home decor from Christmas To Winter</em>!</h2>

<p>It&#8217;s such a nice way to keep the season alive. Today I am going to show you how to do it. </p>

<p>I knew I needed to transition my home decor from Christmas to Winter. The New Year is here. Transitioning from Christmas to Winter actually gave me hope and belief for the happiest of New Year&#8217;s! </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="767" height="1024" src="https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Transition-from-Christmas-6-767x1024.jpg" alt="transition from christmas to winter, christmas, winter decor, diy home decor, vintage furniture makeover, create with cynthia, cynthia nessel" class="wp-image-5111" srcset="https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Transition-from-Christmas-6-767x1024.jpg 767w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Transition-from-Christmas-6-225x300.jpg 225w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Transition-from-Christmas-6-768x1025.jpg 768w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Transition-from-Christmas-6-1151x1536.jpg 1151w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Transition-from-Christmas-6.jpg 1199w" sizes="(max-width: 767px) 100vw, 767px" /></figure>

<p>When I was decorating for Christmas, I created my &#8220;Believe&#8221; sign. At that time, I decided for the Year 2020 I would skip the New Year&#8217;s resolutions and choose a word to focus on. I chose the word <strong>&#8220;Believe!&#8221;</strong> <br></p>

<p>&#8220;<em><strong>I believe if you work hard with good intention, then good things will happen.&#8221;</strong></em></p>

<p>Are you a New Year&#8217;s Resolutions type of person, Sweet Friend? </p>

<p>I used the word <strong>Believe</strong> all over my Christmas decor. Remember my post, <a href="https://createwithcynthia.com/front-door-holiday-decor-and-5-things-you-need-to-decorate-your-front-door/">&#8220;Front Door Holiday Decor and Five Things Needed to Decorate the Front Door!&#8221;</a> </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="767" height="1024" src="https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Transition-from-Christmas-10-767x1024.jpg" alt="transition from christmas to winter, christmas, winter decor, diy home decor, vintage furniture makeover, create with cynthia, cynthia nessel" class="wp-image-5107" srcset="https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Transition-from-Christmas-10-767x1024.jpg 767w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Transition-from-Christmas-10-225x300.jpg 225w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Transition-from-Christmas-10-768x1025.jpg 768w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Transition-from-Christmas-10-1151x1536.jpg 1151w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Transition-from-Christmas-10.jpg 1199w" sizes="(max-width: 767px) 100vw, 767px" /></figure>

<p>Check out how I transitioned my Front Door from Christmas to Winter. Basically, I removed the red Christmas items. </p>

<p>What do you think of my January front door? I&#8217;ve transitioned away from Christmas and back to winter with my White Wreath and <a href="https://createwithcynthia.com/home-sweet-home-diy-with-essential-stencils/">Home Sweet Home sign</a>. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="892" height="628" src="https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Front-Door-Christmas-to-Winter-at-Create-With-Cynthia.jpg" alt="transition from christmas to winter, christmas, winter decor, diy home decor, vintage furniture makeover, create with cynthia, cynthia nessel" class="wp-image-5204" srcset="https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Front-Door-Christmas-to-Winter-at-Create-With-Cynthia.jpg 892w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Front-Door-Christmas-to-Winter-at-Create-With-Cynthia-300x211.jpg 300w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Front-Door-Christmas-to-Winter-at-Create-With-Cynthia-768x541.jpg 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 892px) 100vw, 892px" /></figure>

<p>The <a href="https://createwithcynthia.com/essential-stencils-home-sweet-home-sign/">Home Sweet Home sign</a> is on You Tube and you can watch it <a href="https://youtu.be/2GblULdEg8o">here</a>.  The Believe sign was double sided and made for a super easy transition from Christmas to Winter. I just turned the sign around and now it displays a more winter saying, &#8220;Home Sweet Home!&#8221;</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Shutter-Turned-Table-17-768x1024.jpg" alt="transition from christmas to winter, christmas, winter decor, diy home decor, vintage furniture makeover, create with cynthia, cynthia nessel" class="wp-image-5118" srcset="https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Shutter-Turned-Table-17-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Shutter-Turned-Table-17-225x300.jpg 225w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Shutter-Turned-Table-17-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Shutter-Turned-Table-17.jpg 1200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></figure>

<p>When you walk into my front door, you see a new Furniture Makeover, <strong>&#8220;Shutter Turned Table&#8221;</strong> and a DIY Home Decor Project, <strong>&#8220;Reclaimed Hardware Christmas Tree.&#8221;</strong> Those two projects were just completed this past week and I plan to share the &#8220;how to&#8217;s&#8221; within the next few months. I took down the Christmas Tree in the front entry and replaced it with the <strong>&#8220;Shutter Turned Table.”</strong></p>

<p><em><strong>When you pick up junk on the side of the road and work on furniture makeovers, you end up with alot of extra hardware and table legs. </strong></em></p>

<p>What’s a girl gonna do with all the junk?</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Tree-with-Hardware-24-768x1024.jpg" alt="transition from christmas to winter, christmas, winter decor, diy home decor, vintage furniture makeover, create with cynthia, cynthia nessel" class="wp-image-5119" srcset="https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Tree-with-Hardware-24-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Tree-with-Hardware-24-225x300.jpg 225w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Tree-with-Hardware-24-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Tree-with-Hardware-24.jpg 1200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></figure>

<p>I love my <a href="https://createwithcynthia.com/yarn-christmas-trees-diy/">Yarn Christmas Tree</a> and they transition so well into winter. It was such a fun and easy diy project that you can read about <a href="https://createwithcynthia.com/yarn-christmas-trees-diy/">here</a>. If you missed the video on the <a href="https://createwithcynthia.com/yarn-christmas-trees-diy/">Yarn Christmas Trees</a> you can watch it <a href="https://createwithcynthia.com/yarn-christmas-trees-diy/">here</a>.</p>

<p>I loved the nutcrackers so much I incorporated them into my winter decorating, as well. I got a little hooked on Nutcrackers when I wrote the <a href="https://createwithcynthia.com/nutcracker-christmas-table-decor/">Nutcracker Christmas Table Decor</a> after the Christmas Tablescape Blog that you can read about <a href="https://createwithcynthia.com/nutcracker-christmas-table-decor/">here</a>.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Walnut-Wreath-9-768x1024.jpg" alt="#createwithcynthia #cynthianessel #diyhomedecor #vintagefurnituremakeover #yarnchristmastrees #craftchristmastrees #homedecor #homedesign #decoration #furniture #decor #homestyle #nutcracker #walnutwreathdiy #yarncraft #weeklyroundup" class="wp-image-5019" srcset="https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Walnut-Wreath-9-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Walnut-Wreath-9-225x300.jpg 225w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Walnut-Wreath-9-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Create-With-Cynthia-Walnut-Wreath-9.jpg 1200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></figure>

<p>I even decided to make a <a href="https://createwithcynthia.com/walnut-wreath-diy/">Walnut Wreath</a> earlier in the month. Did you see my <a href="https://youtu.be/QJ4tdg7npTc">Walnut Wreath video</a> on You Tube? If not, you can watch it <a href="https://youtu.be/QJ4tdg7npTc">here</a>.</p>

<p>For this part of my home I removed the Christmas Tree and added a new furniture piece to fill the space. What do you think of the transition, Sweet Friends?</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="892" height="628" src="https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Front-Door-Christmas-to-Winter-at-Create-With-Cynthia-1.jpg" alt="transition from christmas to winter, christmas, winter decor, diy home decor, vintage furniture makeover, create with cynthia, cynthia nessel" class="wp-image-5205" srcset="https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Front-Door-Christmas-to-Winter-at-Create-With-Cynthia-1.jpg 892w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Front-Door-Christmas-to-Winter-at-Create-With-Cynthia-1-300x211.jpg 300w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Front-Door-Christmas-to-Winter-at-Create-With-Cynthia-1-768x541.jpg 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 892px) 100vw, 892px" /></figure>

<p>I love to decorate my buffet and here you can see how I transitioned from Christmas to Winter.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="892" height="628" src="https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Front-Door-Christmas-to-Winter-at-Create-With-Cynthia-3.jpg" alt="transition from christmas to winter, christmas, winter decor, diy home decor, vintage furniture makeover, create with cynthia, cynthia nessel" class="wp-image-5206" srcset="https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Front-Door-Christmas-to-Winter-at-Create-With-Cynthia-3.jpg 892w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Front-Door-Christmas-to-Winter-at-Create-With-Cynthia-3-300x211.jpg 300w, https://createwithcynthia.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Front-Door-Christmas-to-Winter-at-Create-With-Cynthia-3-768x541.jpg 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 892px) 100vw, 892px" /></figure>

<p>Later in the month, I&#8217;ll be sharing some excited news on a project I&#8217;m working on at the beginning of February. Surprise, surprise&#8230;..</p>
