Do you ever feel like you just have too much stuff, Sweet Friends. I was feeling that way after Christmas and so I started cleaning out my closet.
As I was cleaning, I pulled out a couple sweaters that did not fit and then I got inspired to create a Sweater Wreath with Hearts. I shared the video on You Tube last week. It was a super cute and fun video on how to create a “Sweater Wreath with Hearts.” If you missed it you can check it out here.
After Christmas I always feel so overwhelmed with stuff. Do you, Sweet Friends? How do you overcome that overwhelm?
Christmas always brings into the house more stuff. Then, I feel overwhelmed and want to clean out. Usually, when I need to clean out, I start in the closets!
For me, I just start making piles and filling up bags to take to the local Goodwill. I love to shop at the Goodwill, but I also love to donate!

I found a couple old sweaters that were either too small or just not being worn. Instead of donating them, I decided to cut them up and make wreaths. I couldn’t leave my walls bare knowing that Valentine’s Day was coming! I love celebrating the holiday and the Sweater Wreaths were just the perfect little diy.
My feeling of “overwhelm of stuff”, started to feel better. Repurposing items is always a thrill. Wreaths hang lovely on walls, doors, shutters, windows, anywhere you want to add some pretty. I like to make sure I have at least one wreath for each holiday, just in case I need to add some pretty. I think the thrill of repurposing eliminated the “overwhelm of stuff.”
The “Valentine’s Day Tablescape Blog Hop” was on the calendar. I couldn’t leave my walls bare knowing that was coming. Did you check out my Conversation Heart Valentine’s Day Tablescape? I even created a short video on the tablescape. You can watch the video here.
The Dollar Store is a great spot for inexpensive wire or foam wreaths. Right now, you can even find the heart shaped wreaths.

For my sweater wreaths, you can use an type of wreath form, really.
I’ve tried foam, wire, wicker, any kind works, so don’t spend alot of money, use what you have.
The wreath hangs nicely on the Shutter Turned Table I created earlier in the month. The table sits next to my Laundry Closet that I just did a makeover on. The Laundry Closet Makeover was a fun project that makes laundry so much easier.

Now, don’t forget to pop on over to You Tube and check out my channel Create With Cynthia for the Sweater Wreath with Hearts. The video includes a tutorial and everything you need to recreate this fun project.
Next time you’re feeling “overwhelmed with stuff” try and think how you can repurpose that stuff!
Now go out there and create something!
Cynthia
