Hey there sweet friends, today on the blog I’m going to be talking about “Real or Faux Christmas Trees and the Three Reasons I prefer Faux”.
Real or Artificial Christmas Trees? Which do you prefer?
Everyone has their preference and today I am sharing three reasons why I prefer a “Faux” Christmas tree.
This year, is the beginning of many firsts for the boys and I.
It is the first year we have FIVE Christmas Trees! more about that on the 25th!
It is the first year we live out in the woods.
And…..
It is the first year we have a “Real” Christmas Tree.
“Real” meaning Super Man and Wonder Woman went into the woods and cut down 2, not just 1 “real” Christmas Tree. #whatwerewethinking
So, today I am here to tell you “Three Reasons I Prefer Faux over Real!”
1. Recycling Christmas Trees is better for the environment.
2. Faux Trees come with lights!
3. Faux Trees have the perfect shape!
There is a real tree on my front deck which I mentioned yesterday. It’s seen better days. Hence, Reason #3 – Faux Trees have the perfect shape!
But in my TV Room area sits a real Christmas Tree, which is just about deader than dead with its lil branches barely standing up. Looking so thirsty and a lil sad because it’s lights won’t stay on.
This is a favorite tree of mine because it reminds me of my Grandma Flo who was “Craftier than any Crafter” I know.
I don’t love the tree because it looks good!
Hence reason #2 Faux Trees come with lights!
This tree has no lights because it’s almost impossible to keep them on the tree.
See how all the lights fall to the bottom of the tree. They won’t stay on the branches because the branches are too flimsy. URGH!
Some of the ornaments are handmade by Grandma Flo.
Some are handmade by the boys.
Some are handmade by me.
And some are store bought.
The tree is just an Old Traditional Christmas Tree and for that I love it!
But back to why I don’t like “Real” trees…
They don’t last very long and Christmas in my home is like long…almost two months.
Yes, I start decorating before Thanksgiving!
Real Christmas Tress don’t seem to last two months…but Faux ones do! 🙂
How long is Christmas in your home? Please leave a comment and let me know.
