Are you looking for a Bright and Spring-y Wreath for your Home. Stay tuned as I show you how to take Dollar Store items and florals and create a Carrot Wreath for the April Pinterest Challenge!
Hey there, Sweet Friends, it’s the Pinterest Challenge day. For the April Pinterest Challenge, watch me create a Carrot Wreath – April Pinterest Challenge.
I was cruising around Pinterest and I found this pin. A carrot wreath using tulips. What a cutie!!!!! It just so happened that the pin was from my Sweet Friend Chloe from Celebrate and Decorate. I love Chloe’s tulips, but finding tulips at the Dollar Store can be a little tough. I decided to add a little uniqueness to my carrot wreath by using Dollar Store florals.
Carrot Wreath for your home!
In case you’re new to the blog, the purpose of the Pinterest Challenge is to motivate all the participants (and you too) to not just pin, but to make it happen! This month’s challenge I chose to make a Carrot Wreath to go along with all the other carrots I’ve been making this Spring. Have you seen my Vintage Clothespin Carrots and Spindle Leg Carrots?
This craft was inspired by this Pinterest pin —>>Tulip Carrot Wreath from Celebrate and Decorate!
Materials needed to Create the Carrot Wreath:
- Faux Orange Flowers – I used 8 Tiger Lily stems.
- Faux Greenery
- Ribbon
- Wire Wreath Form
- Glue Gun and Glue Stick
- Pipe Cleaners
- Wire cutters
- Scissors
Instructions on How to Create the Carrot Wreath:
Step one: Gather your supplies.
Step two: Wrap your ribbon around your metal wreath form.
Step three: Remove all of the leaves from your flowers. Save them, as you will possibly want to use them later. Use wire or a pipe cleaner to gather your flowers together. Gather four flowers then three flowers, then two flowers, then one flower.
You can see the front of the flowers here.
You can see the back of the flowers here.
Step four: Gather your greenery and use a pipe cleaner or wire to hold it together.
Step five: Attach the greenery and the flowers together. Check out the picture below.
Step six: Use a pipe cleaner or piece of wire to attach carrot with greenery onto ribbon wrapped wreath form.
Step seven: Gather ribbon to create a bow.
Tip: cut the edges of the ribbon in an angled way for a fancy look.
Enjoy your wreath! Hang it on a door, an old window or just the wall.
I hope i’ve inspired you to take Dollar Store items to create a Spring Wreath for your Front Door. Now go out there and Create Something.
