Weekly Round Up Edition #20!
NOT what’s going on in BlogLand! What’s going on in my home!
I had an amazing Christmas!!! The boys and I had a nice early dinner out at a yummy restaurant on Christmas Eve. The boys and I visited family over the weekend. Christmas Eve we were able to hang out and spend time together in our home.
This Mama’s favorite place is not in the kitchen. Baking is one thing I enjoy. But when it comes to cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner, I’d rather set a pretty table to admire and go out to eat. What’s your preference?
After our meal out, we prepared for Santa’s arrival by baking cookies. We made cookies and played games and the boys opened one present.
We set the cookies and milk on the coffee table for Santa, and boy, oh boy, did Sofy have her eye on those cookies.
I made the Santa Plate using a Dollar Store Charger and A Maker’s Studio products; Adhesive Mesh Stencils and Chalk Art, just like the Dollar Store Charger Gift Idea DIY you can check out here.
Divorce is difficult for kiddos and I get that! But, thankfully, Troy has had a positive outlook. A couple weeks back he said to me, “Mom, you know what makes divorce ok?” Shockling I stared at him. “Mom, I get two Christmas’s full of gifts!”
Christmas in our home!
Every Christmas morning, the boys wake up and the first thing they do is go and see if Santa came. This year, of course, Troy headed straight to the Faux Fireplace where the stockings hung. He grabbed his stocking and enjoyed digging out all the goodies. At this age, it’s full of candy!
After stockings and presents were opened, we had a nice breakfast of cinnamon rolls and bacon.
My Christmas day was amazing and for that I am forever grateful. Thank you, Sweet Friends, for letting me share a little about my day with you.
Now go out there and create something.
