Are you a fixer-upper fan?
Are you fascinated by Joanna and Chip Gaines?
Do you love shopping online at Magnolia Market? If so,I bet you’ve checked out Target and Pier One’s collection of Joanna’s goods too.
Well, if your like me, you go to Pier One and Target every couple weeks just to check out the Magnolia Market line. Of course hoping that items have been discounted. About a month ago I was in Pier One and saw this incredible Magnolia rug discounted from $169.00 to $39.00.

OMG, it wasn’t the perfect size and I really didn’t know where I’d put it, but I thought it might work well in my son’s room.
Our family has been in a bit of influx with the divorce and upcoming sale of our family home and I felt my son, Troy, was needing a safe place to be alone when things weren’t going his way. It made me think he needed his room to be a space that was just his.
I decided a room remodel was in order and with some of his existing decor the rug would fit perfectly.
I was quickly off to the paint store with a picture of the rug. I choose to paint the room in white with one accent wall of grey to match the rug.
For my son’s room, I figured the carpet size didn’t matter as it could always be layered atop a sisal rug.
Before painting began we laid the rug down and walked over it. With bare feet it was so soft and I said to Troy, “Oh this is like heaven on your feet”. The rug was amazingly soft. Troy and I now have a fun time standing on the rug barefoot saying, “oh, heaven on our feet!”
If your planning a room remodel, I’d suggest finding one piece that you can draw colors and inspiration from. Stay tuned for more on the paint colors and final room reveal.
