Magnificent, marvelous, mothers … it is time to celebrate! In just a few days Mothers around the world will be showered with May flowers and memoirs to say “We love you Mom, Mommy, Mama ….. (Did I miss any?)
I actually think Mother’s Day should be called Women’s day. Why not celebrate all women! That uterus and all it puts us through should be reason enough to celebrate, don’t you think?
This week I am trying something different by asking all of you to please take a moment to subscribe to my website! My website, which most of you don’t even know about, has been a long time work in progress. I do hope to provide useful and enjoyable type of information along the lines of Yoga, Art and Earth and who doesn’t love those three things, right?
Anyway, this dream of mine to make money on my website through advertisements and such comes with a need of subscribers, followers and such.
I promise not to fill your email box with numerous nonsense. Nor do I have time to blog everyday, that is not my point.
Back to….. Women
Speaking of amazing women, meet Sarana Miller, www.saranayoga.com
I had the privilege in March and April of weekend retreating with Sarana and what an experience. I met Sarana during my yoga teacher training last summer and fell in love with her style (and height!). I enjoy face to face conversations since most of my friends I have to look down to! And I don’t mean that literally.
I think what I love most about Yoga is that it really has turned into a “everybody could love it” type of exercise.
Today there’s Yoga Flow and Yin Yoga and Power Yoga and Bikram Yoga and the list goes on and on!
What’s your favorite?
I like a little bit of this and a little bit of that, but really for me, it’s about developing a relationship with a teacher, they know your body and what you can do! So let’s talk a little about Sarana……no NOT her body, her yoga style. Sarana is Iyengar trained, uses a lot of props and in my opinion is a great teacher for the beginner, intermediate or advanced practitioner.
Sarana gets into every nook and cranny in your body and takes a pose to many different levels by doing it not just on your feet but on your back too!
Considering joining me in October at Green Gulch. I promise you it will be an experience worth every penny that you spend!
Happy Mother’s Day
