I’m full in on Spring at the moment, Sweet Friends. I’ve been making Carrots, and Bunnies and Easter Eggs. Now it’s time to do a little Easter Decorating. Easter Decorating Ideas is on the agenda for today.

My favorite time is Spring! My favorite thing is decorating! Spring projects = Spring decorating and that makes this blonde girl very happy!

Spring Decorating Ideas!

April is here and Easter is right around the corner. I’ve been creating all kinds of Easter decorating videos just for you.

This video is all about Easter Egg Decorating Ideas. I take wooden eggs and use Iron Orchid Designs Clay and Moulds and DIY Paint and create one of a kind unique Easter Eggs.

Decorating for Easter with Bunnies!

But did you see my video Painted Drop Cloth Bunnies? And this one includes a story about my pups?

In this video I took old drop cloths and created no-sew bunnies. Then I painted the drop cloths. They were already paint stained and I kinda love to paint!

Styling for Easter with Eggs, Bunnies and Carrots!

What is super fun about these bunnies and eggs is that you can style them with the Spindle and Vintage Clothespin Carrots I made, as well.

Easter Table Setting!

Easter is one of my favorite times of year and I love setting the table for this amazing holiday..

There are so many different ways to set an Easter table, but I thought it would be fun to create a centerpiece full of Easter Eggs and Spindle Carrots.

My Easter table was inspired by all of the Easter Crafts I have been doing in my home. Easter Eggs, Carrots, Bunnies and Flowers have been on my mind since March!

I used an old shadow boxes for the centerpiece. I painted and added handles to the shadow box. Then I added faux grass with my Easter Eggs, Vintage Clothespin Carrots and my Spindle Carrots. For additional Easter centerpiece ideas check out “Vintage Spring Decorating With Carrots!”

Last week, when I was rummaging through my craft closet I pulled out my Iron Orchid Designs Clay, Moulds and DIY Paint. With those products, I created some Easter Eggs with flowers. They paired perfectly with the carrots in my centerpiece.

Dyed Easter Eggs just aren’t my thang anymore. Have you started Easter Egg decorating? Every table needs some birds and a bunny, and these cute critters were found a couple of years back. This season I’ve also created No-Sew Painted Drop Cloth Bunnies and there is a video on You Tube called “Painted Drop Cloth Bunnies and a Story About My Pups.”

On my table I placed a macrame table runner. I love how the macrame pops against the dark wood table. For each placesetting I used cabbage leaf placemats, then Antique Scalloped Charger Plates and then my white Fiesta Ware dishes. I love using my Modern Vintage Goblets and Amber Drink Glasses. The silverware is from Ikea. These are my everyday dishes that make life super simple! Each placesetting has a small milk can full of flowers. I’ve folded the gold colored napkins under the salad plate to add a little more color to my table.

DIY Easter Eggs with Clay and Moulds!

I don’t know about you, but nowadays I just don’t prefer to dye Easter Eggs. Nowadays, I prefer to use other types of crafting mediums for my eggs. The sky is really the limit. I’ve used paint and clay and even modge podge and fabric and ribbon. For today, we are using Iron Orchid Designs Air Dry Clay and Decor Moulds. DIY Easter Eggs with Clay and Moulds!

Iron Orchid Designs Clay and Moulds!

Iron Orchid Designs has some incredible products and I love working with the Air Dry Clay and Decor Moulds. The clay is super easy to use and it dries over night. The moulds clean up well and can be used over and over again.

Materials needed for the Easter Egg with Clay and Moulds:

• Air Dry Clay
• Decor Moulds
• DIY Paint
• Wooden Eggs
• Putty Knife
• Wooden Trough
• Easter Basket
• Egg Plate
• Egg Cups
• Hot Glue Gun

Instructions on How to Create Easter Eggs with Clay and Moulds.

Step one: After you have gathered your supplies, start by seasoning your mould with Corn Starch. Use an old paint brush and spread corn starch inside the mould. Shake out any excess.

Step two: Use your scraper to cut a piece of clay from the chunk of Air Dry Clay.

Step three: Roll clay into a ball and press into the mould.

Step four: Use scrapper and remove excess clay from mould. The micro rim will assist in ensuring a flat surface on the back of the mould.

Step five: Once you have pressed clay inside mould, turn mould upside down and let gravity remove the clay from the mould.

Step six: Once your moulds are created and before each dries you can glue them onto the wooden egg surface. Use Titebond or Hot Glue to adhere the clay mould to the wooden egg.

Step seven: Paint your wooden eggs with clay and moulds.

Step eight: Seal your paint with a top coat or wax. I prefer to use wax with clay and moulds as it gets into the crevices and creates a beautiful look.

Don’t forget to decorate your eggs by placing them into a wooden box or basket or even on an egg plate.
