TreasureFest in the San Francisco Bay Area!

Today on the blog I am sharing with you about TreasureFest this weekend, March 30th and 31st. Dollar Store Charger transformation.

When my December Chalk Art Subscription arrived I was so excited to see the Mesh Adhesive Stencils as they were some of my favorite words; Gather, Grace and Grateful. I had picked up some Silver Chargers at the Dollar Store and decided to decorate them.

Decorating Chargers….I immediately thought of enhancing my chargers for my Christmas table.

I hope you enjoy my table as much as I did. The best part is I can wash the chargers and do a new design next season. A Maker’s Studio Chalk Art is erasable unless it’s sealed.

You see, the box was supposed to be for My Laundry Room Makeover Part 2. But that wasn’t going to happen until 2019, since I was still in Major Christmas Mode. But I had a very unhappy and wrinkled looking table that needed assistance asap.

And when I looked at the pictures of my wrinkled dining room table I could not open the box from HomeRight fast enough. Of course, I was not disappointed.

Chalk Art Subscription from A Maker’s Studio!

If you read along earlier this week, you’ll know that for this year I gifted myself with A Maker’s Studio Chalk Art Subscription.  If you missed the post, click here. 

Today, I am going to show you how you can make a Wood Sign with the Chalk Art Subscription.  You can watch the video here.

Here is what you need for this DIY Wood Sign:

• A piece of wood
• The Chalk Art Subscription
• Wax and/or Paint
• Additional Chalk Art Colors
• Paint Brush

The first step is to stain your wood, once dry, paint it with two coats.  I used the following products:

A Maker’s Studio Dark Antiquing Wax

A Maker’s Studio Rescue and Restore paint in the color Blessed

A Maker’s Studio Paint Brush

Once you let the paint dry, adhere the adhesive stencil to the right spot on your board and spread chalk art over the stencil.

Remove stencil and seal board with a sealer.  I used A Maker’s Studio Matte Sealer.  You can purchase the Sealer here.  I’d suggest keeping a jar on hand for all types of diy projects in your home.
