Summer Adventures in Northern California

This past weekend my best girlfriend and I went on an adventure in Northern California. We headed up north for a day of hiking, massages and kayaking and today I’d like to share with you about the hike.

Tennessee Valley Trailhead Hike

If you’re in Northern California, I’d highly suggest checking out Tennessee Valley Trailhead.  If you park at the Trailhead, you can take a nice walk down to the beach.  We also saw a few on bicycles, some strollers, joggers and lots of walkers.  Unfortunately, no dogs!

I hope you enjoy the photos I’m sharing and that it inspires you to go and take an adventure.

Video on You Tube “Handmade Baby Gifts!”

Making gifts is a very personal and special thing.  It takes time and effort and is memorable.  I don’t always have time to make personal gifts, but if I can I will.

Three Things Needed to Make Handmade Baby Gifts!

You only need three things to make handmade baby gifts and once you have the craft items on hand, making the gifts over and over again is super easy.

1. A Maker’s Studio Gel Art Inks
2. A Maker’s Studio Adhesive Stencils
3. Onesies, Burp Cloths or Bibs – I purchase mine on Amazon, but you can always pick them up at any local store.

Here are some examples of the stencils I would recommend for baby gifts.  I usually try and have 3-5 of the Gel Art Inks on hand and that will give you a variety of colors to work with.

• New Baby Mesh Stencil
• US Map Mesh Stencil
• Alphabet 4 Mesh Stencil
• Adventure Mesh Stencil

A Maker’s Studio Adhesive Stencils

Stencils can be used on ANY surface and depending upon the product you use it may or may not be permanent.  A Maker’s Studio carries Adhesive Mesh Stencils.

What I love most about the A Maker’s Studio Adhesive Mesh Stencils is not just how cute, trendy and creative the designs are, but I love that they are reusable and adhesive and can be used on any surface.

Stenciling can be a scary and intimidating task and using an Adhesive Mesh Stencil makes the task so much easier.

Hello there, Sweet Friends, today on the blog I will be sharing with you about my “Pop Up Party” last weekend and the craft projects friends and I did using A Maker’s Studio products.

Painting and Stenciling to craft a beautiful life.

Craft Projects with A Maker’s Studio paint, stencils and stamps.

This past Sunday on the way to my store in Redwood City, I counted 52 cyclist on the five mile drive into town.  For the month of December, I have Craft Workshops at my store on Saturday and Sunday’s from 10am to 12 noon, just to name a few.  I hope you’ll stop by and “Create With Me”.  The address is 615 Woodside Road, Suite 3 in Redwood City, California.

The road is mezmorizingly gorgeous. The trees are so tall you can barely see the clouds in the sky. The sun struggles to shine through the branches and leaves. The colors are magnificent. This is why I moved out to the woods. Sometimes I even get lucky enough to be able to craft outside.  

Saturday, friends gathered at my Woodland Paradise for a “Pop-Up Party,” just community and gathering. We painted wood surfaces and stenciled and stamped beautiful words that remind us how to reflect on life.

I was so excited and grateful friends made the trek to my Woodland Paradise in the rain and stormy weather.  Northern California has been battling the “much needed” rain since Thanksgiving. It is much needed for our planet but for me and my new home it is an adjustment.

Mallory knocked it out of the park with this “Bless this Home” sign.  She was eager to get home and finish her project gluing ribbon to the edges.

• Paint Brushes in a variety of shapes and sizes.

Aren’t the signs with the words “blessed” and “grateful” so perfect as a pair. My friends Monica and Sam created these treasures.
